Late eighteen, early nineteen century.
The small alabaster sculpture, with a nice patina, supported on his antique marble base, reproposes Venus by Giambologna, executed with a great ability, dating end the seventeenth century, beginning eighteenth century.
The original bronze by Giambologna, Jean de Boulogne (Douai 1529-Florence 1608) is located in Florence, this lovely subject had a great success and was taken up by various artists in the following centuries.
