Late 18th century Italian, neoclassical period.
The two angels of the late eighteenth century are in papier mâché while the square base is made of gilded and lacquered wood. In their hands they hold a cornucopia which end in wrought iron ferrules.
The elegant draping of the robes and the attitude of the two sculptures lead back to the neoclassical period, probably Rome.
Beautiful gilding in good condition.
